Full Review

Brondell has been making bidet seats since 2003. The Swash 1400 represents their current flagship, and it shows in every detail — the stainless steel nozzle, the wireless remote with memory presets, the warm air dryer that means you can genuinely stop buying toilet paper.

Installation requires a nearby grounded outlet — standard in most bathrooms. The physical seat swap takes 20–30 minutes: disconnect water supply, remove old seat, mount the Swash's docking plate, reconnect water and electricity. The included quick-release mount means the seat snaps on and off in seconds for cleaning. We had ours installed in 22 minutes.

The wash experience is a step above anything non-electric. Water is warm immediately — no waiting for a tank to heat up. The oscillating nozzle moves back and forth during wash for thorough coverage. Pressure and temperature are independently adjustable across five settings each. The feminine wash nozzle is separate from the rear nozzle and positioned accordingly. After a warm air dry, you need essentially zero toilet paper — a square for pat-dry at most.

The wireless remote is wall-mounted, logically laid out, and backlit. The heated seat is a genuine comfort upgrade, especially in cold bathrooms. The deodorizer runs silently in the background. Build quality is exceptional — three years of warranty coverage backs it up, and Brondell's US customer service has consistently been among the most responsive we've encountered in this category.

The price is a real consideration. At $599, this is a commitment. But it's also the last bidet seat most people ever buy — and at $100+/year in toilet paper savings, it pays itself back in under five years while improving your bathroom routine every single day.
