💧 BidetLabs Testing Standard

We buy, install, and test every major bidet on the market — then tell you exactly what to buy. Real reviews. No paid placements. No sponsored rankings.

We saved the S7 for last in our testing sequence — intentionally. After testing 46 other products, we wanted to evaluate TOTO's flagship with calibrated expectations. It exceeded them. Here's our full review of the TOTO Washlet S7.

⚡ Quick Verdict

The TOTO S7 is the best bidet seat we've tested, full stop. Auto open/close lid, auto flush, ewater+ pre-mist, deodorizer, dryer — it's a complete bathroom upgrade. The price is real. So is the experience.

Full Review

The S7 announces itself the moment you walk into the bathroom. The lid opens automatically — a sensor in the remote detects your approach and lifts the lid before you arrive. This single feature, trivial as it sounds, is the most commented-on by every tester we had use it. Small detail; outsized impression.

The ewater+ pre-mist is active before each use — the bowl is lightly misted with TOTO's electrolyzed water solution before you sit, reducing waste adhesion from the start. After use, the nozzle is rinsed with the same solution. The bowl is also automatically cleaned on flush. Combined, these features mean the S7 is the lowest-maintenance bidet seat in our entire test pool.

Auto flush — the toilet flushes automatically after use. This is controlled by the remote and can be deactivated; we left it on for testing. Combined with the auto-open/close lid, the S7 operates in near-total hands-free mode for users who prefer it.

The wash experience is TOTO's best-in-class: multiple wash modes (front, rear, soft rear, pulsating), warm air dryer, air deodorizer that activates silently. Water temperature and pressure adjust across five levels each. The seat warms instantly and maintains temperature precisely.

At $1,199, the S7 is a full bathroom upgrade, not just a bidet. We'd recommend the TOTO C5 or Brondell 1400 as the rational purchase for most buyers. But if you've ever sat in a Japanese luxury hotel bathroom and wanted that at home, the S7 is the answer.
